Here at Concentis, we are partnering with a local client to source a Design Engineer, responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of critical water infrastructure and asset design projects. This includes investigations, concept and detailed design, and technical documentation, all with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and community impact.
You’ll liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are captured and delivered to high standards, while also mentoring junior technical staff.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop investigation reports, technical specifications, and engineering designs for water and civil infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review design documentation and cost estimates
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment across all project stages
- Contribute to the development of annual work programs and budgets
- Lead consultants and support junior team members as needed
- Participate in technical working groups and maintain compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and internal procedures
About You: To thrive in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator with a background in civil engineering and a passion for delivering community-focused infrastructure outcomes. You’ll be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative, quality-driven team.
- A degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure design, ideally in water or civil assets
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices
