a Senior Civil Engineer for the Engineering, Assets Solutions team. Gladstone Regional Council plays a vital role in fostering community well-being and sustainable development in Queensland, focusing on infrastructure, environmental management and supporting local services.

The Role Reporting to the Manager, Engineering Asset Solutions, the Senior Civil Engineer plays a key role in developing long-term asset strategies that balance performance, cost, and community outcomes. You will lead investigations and designs that shape the region’s future infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act and WHS regulations.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and technical guidance to staff and contractors.
- Manage engineering projects, consultants, and design deliverables to meet time, budget, and quality targets.
- Prepare and review design documentation, technical reports, and project specifications.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
About You: - Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication
- Knowledge of relevant acts, standards, and guidelines
