Concentis are seeking a Project Support Manager (Senior Project Support) to lead, coordinate, and manage the project support function across multiple capital projects within a Tier 1 mining client. This role will oversee the daily activities of the Project Support team, ensuring systems, processes, and structures are consistently applied.
With strong expertise in Microsoft systems, SharePoint, and project administration, the Project Support Manager will ensure best practice and document control for the site teams SharePoint and connected Teams sites and channels, ensure teams are set up and have current guides and access and drive efficiency across project support activities. This position is both hands-on and supervisory, balancing operational delivery with team leadership.
You would be employed on a 12-month FIFO contract with view to extend, working a 9:5 roster.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the Project Support team, ensuring tasks are allocated, monitored, and delivered to a high standard.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of project support activities, including travel coordination, onboarding, training registers, permits, PPE management, and administrative requirements.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor portfolio SharePoint, Teams and portfolio management systems, ensuring information is up to date, resources and access, .
- Ensure project registers, trackers, and reporting tools are accurate, up to date, and accessible to stakeholders within the constraints of role (not expected to complete or manage project deliverables).
- Support Project Leaders, Superintendents, and Construction Leads with timely and accurate project administration.
- Manage and support processes including travel bookings, inductions, onboarding, how to guides and credit card and cost reconciliation cost centre/WBS alignment, accuracy and reporting.
- Act as the key escalation point for project support issues and problem resolution.
- Drive compliance with company systems, protocols, and governance requirements.
- Build capability within the Project Support team, coaching and mentoring team members.
- Promote teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team.
Performance Objectives - Operational Excellence: Deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely project support services while ensuring compliance with processes, registers, and reporting standards.
- System Leadership: Implement and maintain SharePoint and other systems to streamline information management, ensuring all team members are trained and compliant.
- Team Management: Effectively coordinate and mentor project support staff, setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and fostering collaboration.
Key Skills and Qualifications - Proven experience in project support, business support, or administration, with at least 5+ years in a senior or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and document management.
- Strong experience with SharePoint set-up, Microsoft Teams setup and optimisation, and document control.
- Solid understanding of SAP and other enterprise systems for travel, procurement, and project administration.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across project teams and leadership.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate a team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to work FIFO or residential roster, including travel to site.
