Concentis is proud to exclusively collaborate with a Tier-1 Mining Asset Owner to source a
Project Service Specialist to join their Brisbane based Team providing general project controls support to a unique and challenging project.
You will work closely with the project management team to track progress (planning & cost), report on expenditure and provide generic project coordination support to assist with business-making decisions.
This is a client-side contract position working
Monday to Friday in the
Brisbane Head Office with flexible work from home options provided.
Accountabilities - Assist in project planning and forecasting activities, including development and maintenance of a simple integrated schedule using PowerPoint and Think-Cell in coordination with workstream leads.
- Monitor project costs, prepare monthly cost reports, and support budget vs. actual analysis with input from finance and workstream teams.
- Manage cost tracking structures (cost centres, internal orders) and support financial processes such as purchasing, accruals, and vendor invoice follow-ups.
- Coordinate with finance, procurement, and external funding partners to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
- Maintain project document control and records (via SharePoint), ensuring compliance with protocols and supporting efficient information management.
- Assist in preparing project updates and presentations, contributing to monthly reporting and executive briefings.
- Support risk and opportunity tracking through maintenance of the project risk register and assisting in regular reviews with the project team
- Coordinate with the closure team to address interface issues and support the closure activities required to transition to post closure
About You - Tertiary qualification in engineering, accounting, finance or/and relevant field is seen as desirable
- Sound knowledge of project controls including cost analysis, planning and forecasting with proven experience within a project environment
- Proven experience working within the oil & gas, mining, construction or heavy industrial sectors
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to work by yourself and with others to solve issues
- Excellent coordination ability with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to engage with multiple stakeholders
