Job Overview: As Electrical Project Manager, you will be accountable for the full lifecycle management of electrical capital projects, with a focus on high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems. Key works include arc flash assessments, switchboard replacements, and end-of-life equipment upgrades.
You will lead project teams and contractors to ensure all projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with governance frameworks. Strong technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills, and a proactive approach to risk management will be essential in aligning project delivery with operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the full lifecycle of electrical capital projects, including HV and LV systems, arc flash assessments, switchboard replacements, and end-of-life upgrades.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring delivery within agreed scope and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including site leadership, engineering teams, and contractors, to achieve safe and efficient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company and statutory safety standards, including mining-specific electrical regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project performance.
- Lead and manage contractors and project teams, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders
Success Measures: - Projects delivered on schedule and within approved budgets.
- Zero harm and full compliance with electrical and mining safety standards.
- Effective risk identification and mitigation to avoid project disruptions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and transparent reporting.

Key Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in managing electrical projects within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
- Technical knowledge of HV and LV systems, arc flash assessments, and switchboard upgrades.
- Previous experience with large-scale solar projects desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting requirements.
- Strong leadership and contractor management experience in a remote environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of mining safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
Contract Details: - 12-month contract with the view to extend.
