Concentis is seeking a
Civil Project Engineer to join our site-based delivery team in regional Queensland. This role is ideal for a civil engineer with strong site-based experience who is ready to lead design reviews, manage technical queries, oversee procurement and contractor management, and ensure the successful delivery of complex civil projects.
This role is on a 12 month rolling contract, on a 10:4 or 14:7 FIFO roster.
Key Responsibilities - Lead QA management to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and resources for project execution.
- Support project scheduling, production tracking, and cost monitoring/forecasting.
- Manage contractor engagement and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist the Project Lead with financial reporting and schedule management.
- Identify potential risks and challenges, proposing mitigation strategies where required.
Performance Objectives - Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards across all site activities.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proactively manage risks and implement solutions to minimise project disruptions.
- Support professional development within the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Key Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–8 years of civil site experience, ideally in earthworks, stormwater, cast in-situ concrete, and piping.
- Previous experience managing self-managed contractors is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil construction processes and design interpretation.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, time management, and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Willingness to work a flexible FIFO roster.
- Strong commitment to safety and high personal integrity.
