We are exclusively partnering with a Tier-1 Mining Asset Owner to source an experienced
Project Engineer to provide engineering support and manage the primary contractor executing the next stage of this closure project.
This this on-site role you will be providing engineering oversight and contractor management for a range of complex
civil works which include removal of
concrete formations, bulk earthworks and soil remediation.
This is an
owner’s side position flying to remote but stunning mining location in the Northern Territory on a
2/1 roster. Responsibilities - Oversee construction quality by managing ITPs, responding to technical queries, and ensuring execution work meets design specifical and timelines
- Collaborate effectively with the primary contractor and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain alignment, and support successful project delivery.
- Provide technical expertise for the development, implementation, and coordination of engineering designs.
- Establish and enforce quality control processes to meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering specifications.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
About You - Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
- Proven on-site project engineering experience on the delivery of major scale works throughout the mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial sector
- Must have exposure in the management on civil construction and bulk earthworks projects
- Proven knowledge of construction processes, ITPs, quality control, and contractor management.
- Demonstrable skills in technical problem-solving, design evaluations, and harmonious collaboration.
- Strong team player mentality, with a focus on fostering unity and facilitating team interactions.
