We are seeking an experienced Operations Readiness Specialist to join the Capital Projects team on-site. This role will play a key part in ensuring new and modified assets are safely, efficiently, and seamlessly transitioned from project delivery into operational use across a variety of contracts.
Job Overview: Reporting into the Capital Projects team, this role provides hands-on operational readiness support across maintenance, engineering, operations, and contractor activities. The focus is to ensure all systems, processes, and resources are in place to enable safe and reliable operations from day one.
This is a delivery-focused position, suited to someone with a strong background in operations, maintenance, engineering, or operational readiness, who enjoys working across multiple projects and disciplines.
Key Responsibilities: - Support inspections and readiness checks for new and modified assets.
- Assist in planning and execution of pre-start works to ensure equipment reliability.
- Contribute to risk assessments and readiness planning during project transition periods.
- Provide input into temporary operational and maintenance arrangements where required.
- Update or develop procedures, work instructions, risk assessments, and training materials.
- Support onboarding of new equipment, spare parts, maintenance strategies, and SAP master data.
- Assist with commissioning handover, acceptance registers, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with capital projects, operations, maintenance, and HSE teams to deliver readiness outcomes.
Success Measures: - Safe and efficient delivery of all assigned projects.
- Strong alignment with operational and HSE standards.
- Positive engagement with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Delivery of accurate reporting, forecasting, and governance.
Key Skills & Qualifications: - Background in operations, maintenance, engineering, or operational readiness within mining/resources or heavy industry.
- Solid understanding of asset transition, commissioning, and risk management.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to deliver work independently.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple contracts and disciplines.
- Experience with SAP, commissioning, and technical documentation will be highly regarded.
Contract Details: - 12-month contract with the view to extend.
- 4d3d on-site, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid arrangement (50% WFH) once you are fully established in the role.
