Here at Concentis, we are partnering with a tier-1 asset owner to source an Inventory Manager for an exciting project based in Gladstone. This role will see you play a vital part in driving inventory optimisation, ensuring stores and spares are effectively managed, and supporting the delivery of critical KPIs across the business.
The Role As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a major optimisation project while ensuring continuity of day-to-day operations. You will work alongside the inventory and warehouse teams to review materials, catalogue and manage stock, update BOMs, identify and remove obsolete items, and recommend optimised stock levels. Your role will be key in ensuring the business has the right inventory available within required timeframes while working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities - Work with the inventory team to deliver project outcomes and achieve KPI targets
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory processes and records, including cataloguing, stock levels, reconciliations, and updates to the material master catalogue
- Identify surplus or obsolete stock and coordinate disposal in line with requirements
- Oversee physical inventory verification, approvals, and stock adjustments
- Provide governance and compliance with site policies and standards
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on inventory metrics, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Partner with stakeholders across Procurement, Warehousing, Asset Management, and Maintenance to ensure inventory needs are met
About You - Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commercial, Accounting or Logistics (or working towards)
- Strong experience in inventory and materials management within mining, refining, or similar environments
- Proven analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience highly regarded)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities
- Commitment to continuous improvement and safety practices
- Knowledge of financial and commercial processes, including accounts receivable, management accounting, procurement, and sourcing functions (desirable)
