Here at
Concentis, we have partnered with a global mining asset owner to source experienced
HSE Advisor/Specialist to provide technical expertise, leadership, and support of two crucial
Major Closure Project on a remote mine in the
Northern Territory. This is a FIFO client-side role on a end of year contract (with potential for extension), flying to a remote mine site engaged on a
2:1 roster with benefits of
paid travel, accommodation and meals provided.
Accountabilities: - Provide technical occupational health, safety and environment advice in line with Statutory and Project HSE requirements to the Closure Projects Team and Contracting Partners
- Adapt the project strategies, objectives, and requirements into the Contractors HSE Management documentation
- Foster collaborative efforts to identify and share leading practices drawing upon internal and external benchmarking
- Assist in the implementation of the Closure Projects Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan
- Implement project HSE assurance activities to measure and verify compliance and the effectiveness of safe systems of work
About You: - Extensive experience in HSE seniority positions in the Mining, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Industrial sectors
- Proven background in managing HSE principles on Major Construction Projects
- Background in Bulk Earthworks, Tailings, or Civil Construction Works is needed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a team and independently
- Exposure in owner-side and contractor HSE team environments is seen as highly desirable
- Previous experience in conducting site environmental inspections to verify compliance to project environmental commitments
- Experience in high Level incident investigation report writing
- Can engage on a FIFO 2:1 roster
