Join a high-performing project delivery team working on large-scale infrastructure developments within a Tier 1 mining environment. This Brisbane-based opportunity will see you play a key role in the planning and execution of critical civil works, including tailings and water storage facilities. You’ll support major Pre-Feasibility Studies for 2025 while contributing to the remediation of significant water storage infrastructure.
With a strong pipeline of development projects and the backing of an established engineering function, this is an ideal role for a technically capable and solutions-oriented Civil Project Engineer ready to lead and influence complex project outcomes.
Responsibilities - Support the Senior Project Lead in planning and delivery of:
- A Third Tailings Cell as part of the 2025 Pre-Feasibility Studies (PFS)
- A Water Storage Dam Remediation Project
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure design specifications meet project requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges
- Monitor project progress, implement corrective actions where needed, and maintain alignment with milestones
- Oversee procurement processes, including contractor and supplier engagement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Prepare regular status reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders
- Manage project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and adjust plans
- Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance and leadership to internal and external contributors
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all activities
- Implement effective communication strategies to ensure stakeholders remain informed and engaged
About You - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in civil project delivery, ideally in the resources or infrastructure sectors
- Experience with Tailings Storage Facilities or water-related infrastructure
- Clear and confident communication across engineering and stakeholder groups
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously within a fast-paced team
- Strong documentation and technical report writing skills
- Willingness to travel to remote project sites as needed
