About the Role Concentis are partnering with a well respected civil construction company to source for an experienced Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, this role is integral to the company's Accounting and Business Services functions.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage daily banking activities, including matching, coding, and reconciliations, along with monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Oversee BAS, FBT, and payroll tax obligations
- Deliver financial reports, including monthly management summaries, cash flow analysis, P&L, and balance sheets
- Support management in developing annual budgets
- Own the month end accounting process to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Perform AR/AP duties as needed
- Assist with project costing, administration and overhead allocation
- Lead improvements in procure-to-pay processes, payroll, and job reporting systems
About you: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting fundamentals
- Experience within the construction or similar complex industries desirable
- Advanced skills within the MS Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
